Marine FC are delighted to confirm the signing of promising defender Alex McNally following his departure from Prescot Cables.
The 20-year-old scored the winner in the play-off final for Cables to gain promotion to the Northern Premier League last season.
The centre-back made 46 appearances for Prescot after joining on a dual registration with National League North Warrington Town in summer 2023.
On signing for Marine, Alex said: “I’m obviously made up to be back at the club, I’ve worked with Neil before and I’m really excited to back.
“The lads had a brilliant last year so I’m hoping to add to that and have a good first year in the National League North and hopefully surprise a few people!”
Manager Neil Young said: “Alex is someone at 17 who we have worked with before and has an unbelievable attitude to work hard and do well.
“He has been away for 3 years and gained invaluable experience and had a fantastic season with Prescot, which ultimately finished in promotion.
“It’s clear how we work at Marine in terms of young hungry players that fit what we want to achieve.”
