Spennymoor Town 1-1 Marine; Enterprise NLN; Saturday 25^th April 2026

Marine brought the curtain down on an eventful 2025/26 season with an entertaining draw at the Brewery Field on Saturday.

Bobby Grant’s men nearly gifted Moors an early opener when Adam Thomas directed a header back to Jack McIntyre in the Marine goal, the ball going wide of the post.

Spennymoor did get an early goal with 17 minutes gone, Mackenzie Healey crossing into the box for Dan Jones to glance a header into the bottom corner.

Matty McDonald had Marine’s best chance of the first half, his effort from outside the box hitting the post.

The second half saw chances at both ends before the Mariners grabbed a deserved equaliser with two minutes of normal time left, substitute James Potter pouncing on a mistake and producing a composed finish into the corner of the net.

Marine finished the game strongly with efforts coming back off the woodwork from Offrande Zanzala and Fin Sinclair-Smith, but no further goals were added as the Crosby side finished the season in 12^th place, having amassed 62 points.
