Vanarama National League North Marine FC are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Sam Fielding following his departure from Farsley Celtic.
The 26-year-old has played 26 games in the National League North so far this season and adds experience of the league to Neil Young’s squad.
Fielding has also previously represented York City, Hyde United, and tomorrow’s opponents, Spennymoor Town.
On joining Marine, Sam said: “I’m delighted to have joined the club. I had a good conversation with the manager and Fraser (Ablett), really looking forward to getting started and giving everything I’ve got for the club.
“My aims are really just to get as many points as we possibly can on the board and see where that leaves us come the end of the season.”
Manager Neil Young said: “Sam has lots of National League North experience, which is not easy to find that is also available to sign at this stage of the season.
“We are a little short in the defensive midfield area with probably the only natural player in that position being Leigh Whelan as our other midfielders are more attacking.
“Sam brings lots of experience and is a great addition with only 12 games to go.”
