With the fanbase increasing and interest in the club at an all-time high, the timing is right to establish a modern supporters’ organisation.
This idea was brought forward by lifelong Marine supporter Paul Sutherland, whose passion for the club and desire to help build a stronger, more connected supporter base has helped initiate this process.
The new Supporters Board will operate independently from Marine AFC. No member of the club’s Board will sit on the Supporters’ Board. Its purpose will be to represent supporters, organise activities, and agree its own aims and priorities once formed.
Paul Sutherland is now inviting expressions of interest from supporters who would like to join a steering group and help shape the future direction of the new Supporters’ Board.
Those wishing to be considered for the steering group should email Paul Sutherland at marineafc@icloud.com with a brief summary of why they want to be involved and how they feel they can contribute.
Once established, the Supporters Board will appoint its own chairperson and run its own governance, structure, and activities.
