Enterprise National League North are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Fraser Barnsley on a season-long loan from Everton.
The talented 20-year-old joined Everton from Oxford United in the summer of 2023 after coming through the U’s’ academy.
Barnsley’s loan follows the news that former Accrington Stanley goalkeeper Jack McIntyre joined for the season earlier this week, bolstering Marine’s options in goal.
Fraser joins the Mariners after signing a new two-year contract with the Toffees earlier this summer.
The stopper has represented Northern Ireland at under-21 level, and featured 13 times for Everton across the Premier League 2 and Premier League Cup last term.
On joining Marine, Fraser said: “I’m buzzing to join Marine, a fantastic club with a great history.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge this season is going to bring and to develop my game.
“The lads have been really welcoming, and I’m really looking forward to working with them, pushing each other and having a strong season together.”
