23. Goalkeeper (DOB 04.06.2002)

Joined on a season long loan from Blackburn Rovers in August 2026.

During his time with Rovers, Jack has continued to develop through competitive loan spells to gain senior football experience. He spent the latter half of the 2024/25 season in the Northern Premier League with Workington AFC. Most recently, he stepped up to League Two with Tranmere Rovers for the 2025/26 campaign. Initially signing until January, his loan was extended until the end of the season, resulting in six appearances across all competitions for the Prenton Park outfit.

Having signed a new two-year deal with Blackburn this past May, Barrett now heads to the Mariners to secure regular first-team minutes and help drive the club forward this season.

On the new loan signing, Marine Manager Bobby Grant said: “Jack Barrett’s a fantastic goalkeeper! Thank you to Blackburn Rovers for allowing us to bring him in on loan. Jack was someone who we tried to bring in last year, so we’re absolutely delighted to finally have him in. This now gives us two really, really good goalkeepers now. Again, healthy competition in that position, and that’s what we’ve tried to create right the way through the squad. I’m absolutely delighted to have him with us.”
