Enterprise National League North Marine AFC are thrilled to confirm the arrival of attacker Conor McAleny to the Marine Travel Arena ahead of the 2026/27 Enterprise National League North campaign.
Boasting a formidable CV with more than 300 appearances across England’s top four divisions, the Huyton born forward brings a wealth of pedigree to the Mariners’ front line.
McAleny’s footballing journey began just down the road at Everton. Emerging from the Toffees’ youth setup, he spent over a decade with the Premier League side, making two senior appearances. His development at Goodison Park was supplemented by vital loan stints at Charlton Athletic, Cardiff City, and Wigan Athletic, where he earned a League One promotion medal.
Following a highly fruitful loan spell at Oxford United, he transferred permanently to Fleetwood Town. He spent three seasons with the Cod Army, accumulating north of 70 appearances, before a 2020 move to Oldham Athletic. The attacker then became a mainstay at Salford City, registering well over a century of matches for the Greater Manchester outfit.
Most recently, McAleny spent the 2025/26 season on the books at Harrogate Town, where he contributed three goals in 21 appearances. During that same campaign, he also showcased his sharpness in the final third during a short-term loan with AFC Fylde, netting twice in just six outings.
Now arriving in L23, he adds vital EFL experience and a dynamic, creative dimension to Bobby Grant’s attacking options.
