Striker becomes latest summer recruit at the MTA…
Marine AFC are delighted to announce the signing of striker Darius Osei.
Manchester based Darius, 28, was leading scorer for NPL Champions South Shields in both of the last two seasons, with 14 goals in each campaign and was a key summer target for Manager Neil Young.
He started his career with Stalybridge Celtic in the National North before moving to Oldham Athletic in summer 2016, followed by a spell at Maidstone United in the National League.
Darius rejoined Stalybridge in September 2019, moving to South Shields in February 2020.
He will join the Marine squad next week.
Manager Neil Young said: “I’m delighted to bring Darius into the Club as he has been one of our main targets throughout pre-season.
“Forward players of Darius’ quality are not easy to recruit as there is a lot of competition for their signature, but I’m really happy he has chosen to sign for Marine.
“Joining Fin Sinclair-Smith and Sol Solomon at the Club, they have scored over 40 league goals between them last season, all finished in the top 8 last season for goals in the Northern Premier League, and we will be looking to improve on that this season.”
