Club saddened at passing of former coach…
All at Marine are saddened by the passing of former first team coach Frank O’Brien earlier this week.
Frank, 79, joined Marine in 1979 originally in a fundraising role just prior to the club’s first season in the Northern Premier League.
He had previously been Assistant Manager at New Brighton and also managed Aintree Villa in the Zingari League, before joining the Mariners as part of Roley Howard’s coaching staff.
He joined South Liverpool in 1986 as Assistant Manager before spells at Northwich Victoria and Warrington Town.
We extend our deepest condolences to Dave, Jean and family at this sad time.
A tribute to Frank will be held at a forthcoming home match.
