Lifelong supporter passes away…
All at Marine AFC are deeply saddened by the passing of lifelong Member and supporter Joe Connell, sadly on his recent 98th birthday.
Joe was a regular attendee at matches and club AGMs for more than 70 years, and celebrated both his retirement and 90th birthday in the club function suite.
More recently he was a keen recipient of the Marine in the Community lunches during the pandemic and always kept up with the club news from Everton and Marine, being delighted with the Mariners’ promotion to the National League North.
All at the club extend our deepest sympathy to daughters Marie, Angela and Phillippa and son Martin at this sad time.
For anyone who would like to pay their respects to Joe, the service will be held on Wednesday 29th May at St Peter and Paul’s Church in Crosby at 10am, followed by the burial at 11am and the wake at Marine at 11:45am.
