Joe’s funeral arrangements are as follows:
Funeral service at St Peter & Paul’s Church, Crosby – Monday 8th June 12pm followed by private burial at St. Mary’s Church, Little Crosby (family only). Reception at Marine AFC, College Road, Crosby L23 3AS from 1.30pm.
All at Marine AFC are deeply saddened by the passing of lifelong Mariner Joe Wright earlier this week.
Joe, 82, was a well known figure around Crosby in his trademark fedora and supported the club as a match sponsor over a 25 year period, traditionally sponsoring the first and last Saturday home games each season.
He was also the club’s groundsman via his landscaping company for several years.
