Marine concluded their pre-season preparations with a 3-0 home win over Nantwich Town on Friday night.

The first half was lacking in real goalmouth action but the game came to life on 70 minutes, with all three home goals arriving in a six minute spell.

Manasse Mampala broke the deadlock with a calm finish, springing the offside trap to race through and slide the ball inside the near post.

Mampala came close to a carbon copy just three minutes later, again going though but this time being felled by Maloney in the home goal, the ball falling to Will Russ to steer home the rebound.

Russ completed the scoring on 76 minutes, rising to head home a Nathan Woodthorpe corner from the right and claim his second goal of the evening.

The Dabbers looked as though they had pulled a goal back a couple of minutes later, Saunders bundling the ball in at the far post with the aid of a hand, referee Mr. Canavan quickly blowing his whistle for a Marine free kick.
