Marine FC announces a fundraiser to support goalkeeper Germano Mendes.
Last month, Germano suffered a terrible injury during a half-time warm-up and had to be stretchered off the pitch. Jumping up to catch a ball, he ruptured a patella tendon, the injury being so severe he is not expected to return until next season.
Germano has been a great servant to Marine Football Club for five years and has become a real fans favourite. His passion and commitment to Marine Football Club has been unwavering.
Unfortunately, due to the injury, Germano is unable to work until 31st December at the earliest. This is a massive financial loss to Germano who has two young children. As a result of this, Marine have set up a Go Fund Me page to support him through this period.
If any supporters can make a donation to Germano it would be a big help to him and his family. Marine Football Club are also continuing to provide Germano with full pay up until he returns, to support him through this difficult time.
