Marine’s cup epics continue with victory over Atherton Collieries in the 3rd qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup last Tuesday with a 120th minute penalty winner in front of 1,100 ecstatic fans, and this weekend a difficult game at 1874 Northwich saw the Mariners win 4-1 in a penalty shoot-out in the FA Trophy. This coming Saturday Marine host National League Wrexham in the Emirates FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round with an all-ticket capacity attendance.

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said:

“This is an exciting time for all Marine fans as we continue with our cup exploits in both the Emirates FA Cup and the FA Trophy but it remains a priority to achieve league success this season. The players have done exceptionally well so far despite injury setbacks, some long term. Club officials, staff and players are united in their efforts to realise the objectives for the season and continue to be motivated by the huge increase in support that our football club now enjoys.

Paul Leary added:

“I look forward to meeting the players, staff, officials and supporters of Kidsgrove Athletic at the Marine Travel Arena on Tuesday in what will be another important game as we bid to strengthen our league position.”
