Marine FC are delighted to confirm the signing of promising forward Brad Holmes following his departure from Blackpool.
The 21-year-old played his youth football for Bolton Wanderers before moving to the Seasiders in 2020, where he made appearances in the Championship and League One.
The striker has since spent time on loan with Chorley, AFC Fylde and Southport so already has 45 National League North games under his belt.
Holmes’ signing is an important one to strengthen Neil Young’s attacking options heading into our first-ever National League North campaign.
On signing for Marine, Brad said: “I chose to come to Marine because it’s a talented side, the fan base is good, and the work they have put into the club too.
“I would describe myself as a player that likes to run in behind the defenders and score goals.
“I can’t wait for the season to start. It’s been a long time off, playing a couple of friendly games here and there, but now it’s time to get to the proper work and play for three points every week.”
Manager Neil Young said: “Brad is someone we have been trying to sign since the end of last season.
“He has scored goals at this level and gained more experience up in Scotland on loan last season.
“He works really hard, can play in any of the forward positions and is keen to come in and do well.”
