Enterprise National League North side Marine is delighted to announce the permanent signing of 29-year-old left-back Jack Doyle ahead of our upcoming National League North campaign.
Doyle arrives at the club following a successful stint with Warrington Town, where he made 38 appearances and scored two goals during the 2025/26 season. The experienced defender brings a wealth of pedigree and defensive stability to the squad as we prepare for the challenges of the new season.
Born in Liverpool, Doyle began his career rising through the youth ranks at Blackburn Rovers, where he signed his first professional contract. After progressing through the academy setup, he made his first-team debut in a 3–1 EFL Cup victory over Coventry City in August 2017.
He has since built a formidable reputation across non-league football, most notably for his immense consistency. Doyle spent six highly successful years at Southport FC, cementing his place as one of the club’s longest-serving players with an impressive 217 appearances.
Following his lengthy spell at Haig Avenue, he joined Warrington Town on the eve of the 2025/26 season, quickly establishing himself as a reliable fixture on the left side of their defence.
Upon signing for the club, Jack said.
“I’m made up to be here. Made up to finally get over the line, so yeah, looking forward to getting started with the lads. I know quite a few faces here which is good… I know Adam Anson, Sonny Hilton, who I played with at Southport and l’ve played against a few of the lads over the years.
I know I can bring a lot of experience to the group, try and help the group. At the end of the day, just want to try to win as many games as possible really and try and climb up the table.”
Doyle’s vast experience, having operated at a consistently high level for years, will be a vital asset to the dressing room. His transition to the National League North with Marine provides a fantastic opportunity to further bolster our defensive options as the league opener rapidly approaches.
