Enterprise National League North side Marine FC are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Sonny Hilton on a free transfer following his departure from Southport.
The energetic, box-to-box midfielder made a good impression during his time at his previous club, making 80+ appearances.
Sonny came through the ranks at Fulham and enjoyed a successful Premier League 2 career, captaining his side while making 63 appearances and notching 31 goal involvements.
The talented midfielder has also made his mark on the international stage, with appearances for England U16, U17, and U19.
Manager Bobby Grant said:
”Sonny is a really exciting player, and I’m absolutely delighted to have him in the building. He’ll definitely bring his qualities to our team, and he’s someone who undoubtedly improves us. He is the type of player that we want to bring to the football club. It shows our direction and how far Marine have come that we can now attract players like Sonny, and that they want to join us. It’s a great signing, and I have no doubt that he’ll excite the fans next season.”
