Marine entertain South Shields at the Marine Travel Arena this afternoon (3pm) in the Buildbase FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round.
South Shields currently occupy 2nd place in the NPL Premier division, and are expected to be backed by a healthy travelling contingent this afternoon.
The Mariners meanwhile head into today’s game on the back of a 2-1 home win over City of Liverpool last Saturday, and will be looking for further progress in non-league’s premier cup competition having defeated 1874 Northwich on penalties in the previous round.
Should the score remain level after 90 minutes this afternoon, the tie will be settled by penalty kicks with no extra-time to be played.
This match is all-pay with season tickets and membership card not valid for today’s game.

Gates 1 & 2 on College Road will open at 1:45pm and fans entering the stadium must provide their e-ticket or printed ticket which will be scanned on entry. Gates 5 & 6 adjacent to the club entrance will also be open to accommodate the extra number of spectators that are expected to attend the game.
