Matchday Guide: Bradford City vs Marine

The Mariners are on the road tomorrow as we head to Mbanq Valley Parade for our highly anticipated Emirates FA Cup First Round clash against Bradford City.

To ensure all travelling supporters have a smooth and enjoyable day, we have compiled an essential matchday guide covering travel, ticketing, and stadium information.

Pre-Match at the Marine Travel Arena

Start your matchday early with us! The 1894 Bar will be open from 9:00 AM, serving a special Bradford City breakfast menu to fuel you up for the journey. The Club Store will also be open from 9:00 AM for supporters wanting to pick up any last-minute merchandise.

Coach Travel

If you are travelling on one of the official club coaches, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Arrival: Please arrive at the main entrance exactly 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Your coach will pull in 10 minutes prior to leaving.
  • Boarding: A steward will check your ticket or email confirmation as you board. Please ensure you get on the specific coach shown on your ticket. All coaches will leave strictly on time and will not wait for late arrivals.
  • Regulations: By law, alcohol cannot be carried or consumed on coaches travelling to a designated football match. Coach tickets are sold subject to the club’s Away Coach Travel Policy.
  • Return Journey: Coaches will depart from Bradford City immediately after the final whistle. You must return to Marine on the same coach you travelled out on.
  • Housekeeping: Please take your rubbish with you and leave the coach exactly as you found it.
  • Parking: Please note that the club car park will be closed for the day.

The Designated Away Pub

For Mariners making their own way to Bradford, the designated away pub is The Bradford Arms (77 Manningham Lane, Bradford, BD1 3BA). The pub is less than a 2 min walk from the stadium and can comfortably accommodate 400 supporters.

Matchday Tickets

Bradford City have confirmed a pay-on-the-day option for Marine supporters travelling without a ticket.

  • Tickets can be purchased directly at the away end turnstiles.
  • Please note: Payments are card only.
  • There will be absolutely no away sales at the main ticket office.

Accessing Valley Parade

Turnstiles will open 90 minutes prior to kick-off. Please have your tickets in hand as you approach the stadium.

  • East Stand (Turnstiles E7-E12) & South Stand (S1-S4): Please access the stadium via Queens Road, then turn onto Midland Road to reach the away turnstiles (E7-E12).
  • Coach Drop-Off: Away coaches will park within the road closure directly outside the turnstiles on Midland Road (accessed via Queens Road).
  • Road Closures & Parking: A road closure will be in place on Midland Road starting 3 hours prior to kick-off. Blue Badge parking is available within this closure on a first-come, first-served basis. General street parking is available for all other supporters.
  • Disabled Access: Wheelchair and ambulant disabled supporters should access the South Stand via Holywell Ash Lane. Head up Midland Road, and at the corner where away fans enter, turn right to go up the hill of Holywell Ash Lane. Enter via the metal gates at the top (back of the South Stand). If entering from South Parade, walk past the players’ entrance, and the metal gates will be slightly down the hill on your left.

Important: Strictly no away supporters are to attend the main ticket office. If you experience any issues accessing the ground, please speak to the nearest steward.

Additional Stadium Information

  • Cashless Stadium: Valley Parade operates a strictly cashless system throughout the ground, including all concourse kiosks.
  • Refreshments: Please note there is no bar in the TL Dallas Community South Stand. Only soft drinks will be available in this area.
  • Matchday Programmes: Bradford City do not sell printed matchday programmes.

Safe travels to all supporters making the journey to West Yorkshire. Up the Mariners!
