Marine FC can now publish our retained list following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
Midfielder Harvey Gregson, who joined from Atherton Collieries in December 2023, remains under contract for next season and will be part of Neil Young’s squad.
We are also pleased to confirm that Chris Doyle has agreed to sign a new contract with the club for the 2024/25 season, as well as Owen Robinson, whose new deal we announced last week.
The club is currently in discussions with Josh Wardle, Bobby Grant, Jack Bainbridge, Matty Waters and Charley Doyle, while Freddie Sass and Fin Sinclair-Smith have been offered new deals. Louis White and Sol Solomon have informed the club that they will not be accepting the offer of a new contract.
Jack Dunn and Jordan Lussey have been invited back to pre-season following their respective injuries.
Manasse Mampala, Liam Nolan and Owen Windsor will be leaving the club following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season, while Bobby Jones, Jon Routledge and Scott Butler returned to their parent clubs following the expiry of their loans.
Mampala made 32 appearances last season, scoring seven goals including memorable strikes against Hyde United and FC United of Manchester. Nolan played 31 times, and departs having decided to move abroad for next year. Owen Windsor made 13 appearances since joining in February, scoring once.
Loanees Jones, Routledge and Butler all played their part in a successful end to the campaign for the Mariners also.
We would like to thank all departing players for their fantastic efforts during a historic 2023/24 season, and they will always be remembered as part of the team which took Marine to the National League North for the first time in our history.
