Marine FC announces that Alex Doyle and Mark Howarth have both agreed one-year contracts to remain with the Mariners ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Midfielder Alex and midfielder/central defender Mark both played significant parts in Marine’s promotion-winning squad last season, making 39 and 44 appearances respectively in all competitions.
Manager Neil Young said:
“Mark had an excellent season which he had to play Centre back for the large part and he was immense.
I thought as the season went on Mark got better and better and with more confidence I think he will continue to improve.
Alex had a bit of a stop start season with hamstring injuries but his performances when he was fit were excellent and a big part of our promotion when he came back into the side.
I believe again he will be a big player for us in the NPL Premier Division.”
