FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round

Enterprise National League North Marine AFC have been drawn away to National League club Hartlepool United in the Emirates FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round.

The tie will take place at Victoria Park on Saturday 17th October 2026, KO 3pm with ticket details and coach travel to be announced as soon as possible.

The sides have met on two previous occasions in the world’s oldest cup competition, firstly in November 1932 when the then Football League side ran out 5-2 winners at Rossett Park in the First Round proper.

The sides met again in the Second Round, again at Rossett Park, after the Mariners had famously beaten Barnsley to record their first ever victory over a Football League club. The match on 13th December 1975 ended 1-1, Scaife putting the visitors in front but Marine earning a replay with a 30 yard strike from John Shergold.

Hartlepool won the replay 6-3 after Colin Edwards had put the Mariners ahead, Peter Smith (penalty) and Shergold being the other Marine scorers in front of a crowd of 5,763 – Hartlepool’s best of the season.
