Marine are pleased to announce the signing, for an undisclosed fee, of Kielen Adams from Macclesfield FC.

Kielen, 20, is a centre-forward who came through the Oldham Athletic academy. Loan spells at Chorley and Hyde United followed, before he joined Clitheroe in 2020, signing for Macclesfield in August 2021.

Kielen appeared 29 times for the Silkmen in all competitions this season, scoring seven goals as Macclesfield secured the North West Counties Premier Division title. He becomes the first player Marine have paid a transfer fee for since 1995.

Manager Neil Young commented;

“Kielen is someone we have been looking at since last season, and we tried to sign him from Clitheroe before he left for Macclesfield. We have been monitoring the situation with Macclesfield and Kielen was one of our targets as part of the summer recruitment for next season.

I’m delighted that with the help of Macclesfield we have been able to get it done early and Kielen can help us now in our pursuit of promotion. Kielen is strong and quick, with an eye for goal, but will need minutes to get fully up to speed. He will add to the great attacking options we already have at the club.”

Welcome to Marine, Kielen!
