LUKE CLARK & JACK DUNN

Marine are pleased to announce the signings of Luke Clark and Jack Dunn.

Luke, 27, is a midfielder who played his youth football at Everton before appearing for Preston North End, Accrington Stanley, and Salford City. He spent two seasons with Curzon Ashton before joining Chester in the summer of 2020. Luke joins the Mariners on contract.

Jack, also 27, is a versatile attacking player who scored for Liverpool in a pre-season friendly in 2014. He had loan spells at several EFL clubs before joining Tranmere Rovers and then Warrington Town. Jack then signed for Curzon Ashton, from where he joins the Mariners on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Marine Manager Neil Young commented on the two signings;

“I’m very happy to have brought in both Luke and Jack to Marine.

Luke is a midfield player I’ve been trying to sign for a while. He was in and out at Chester following their managerial change, and when he became available I was very happy to bring him to Marine.

At this stage of the season we need creativity and a game changer in an attacking sense, and I’m delighted that Jack has chosen to join Marine until the end of the season despite interest from a number of other clubs.

Both Luke and Jack are good footballers, experienced in the game at higher levels, and I’m delighted to have been able to add them to the squad at this stage of the season.”

Welcome to Marine, Luke and Jack!
