Marine Chairman Paul Leary said:
“These are the most exciting times for our supporters, players, staff, volunteers, officials and sponsors as we enjoy our best Emirates FA cup run for nearly 30 years. We have an amazing group of players and football staff who have masterminded an unbelievable sequence of victories in the Emirates FA Cup especially the win at Colchester United last week, the first time we have beaten a Football League side away from home in our history.”
Paul Leary added:
“Marine’s progress in the Emirates FA Cup, the most famous football competition in the world, has produced a huge increase in media interest and publicity for our football club in addition to producing some limited commercial opportunities for us to explore, especially important as our league fixtures are currently suspended because of the national lockdown and our bars and clubrooms are closed.”
