Marine entertain Liversedge at the Marine Travel Arena this afternoon (3pm) in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division.
The Mariners occupy 5th place in the NPL Premier table following last Saturday’s 2-0 win at Morpeth Town, and are seeking their 5th home league win of the season ahead of next week’s Isuzu FA Trophy visit of Scarborough Athletic to the MTA.
Liversedge occupy 20th position in the NPL Premier table heading into today’s game, following promotion as champions of NPL East at the end of last season. They have the unenviable record of having lost all of their nine home games, however their away record is similar to that of table-toppers Hyde United. ‘Sedge bolstered their attack this week with the addition of Luke Aldrich from Ossett United, a striker who has netted ten times already this season, and they’ll be hoping to maintain their fine away form at the MTA this afternoon.
From a Marine perspective, a repeat of the only previous meeting between the clubs would be most welcome, as the Mariners recorded a 4-0 FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round home win in September 1991!
Tickets for this afternoon’s game are still available for all supporters to purchase up until kick-off via;

Marine season tickets and membership cards must be presented for scanning at the turnstiles, whilst holders of NHS or Student season tickets should also present their ID badges.
Gates open at 1:30pm, with the 1894 Bar & Bistro and Arriva Suite open for refreshments.
We look forward to seeing you all at the MTA this afternoon!
