Marine came away on Saturday with a fine 3-0 win at Whitby Town with goals from Hardy, Hodkinson and Lussey which sees the Mariners remain in contention for a play-off place, just three points behind 5th place Hyde United with a game in hand.

Crowds continue to flock to the MTA with an average attendance of 1,335 in the nine games since the New Year including the highest gate of 1,707 in the recent 3-0 win against FC United of Manchester.

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said:

“We had a great result on Saturday at Whitby supported by nearly 150 fans who made the long trek to the Yorkshire coast. The game against Nantwich Town on Saturday is important for both clubs for opposite reasons. Nantwich managed by former Warrington Town and AFC Telford manager Paul Carden will be tough opponents and a win for either side will be a massive boost towards the ambitions of both clubs.”

Paul Leary added:

“I look forward to welcoming the players, staff, officials, and supporters of Nantwich Town to the Marine Travel Arena for what is another important game with so much at stake as we move into the final few weeks of the season.”
