MARINE V RADCLIFFE – PREVIEW

Marine entertain Radcliffe at the Marine Travel Arena this afternoon (3:30pm) in the Emirates FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round.

The Mariners make their bow in this season’s version of the world’s greatest cup competition as they face a tough assignment against fellow NPL Premier club Radcliffe.

Radcliffe recruited well over the Summer and have enjoyed a good start to the season. “Boro” currently occupy 6th place in the NPL Premier, and are unbeaten on their travels so far, enjoying a victory in their “derby” at FC United of Manchester on Bank Holiday Monday.

Callum Harris and Jonny Spittle have outside chances of being involved this afternoon following injury, however Josh Solomon-Davies remains sidelined. Recent signing Joe Ferguson also misses today’s game due to his dismissal at Stafford Rangers. Manager Neil Young will be hoping that the remainder of his already-stretched squad came through the defeat at Warrington Rylands on Monday unscathed.

Tickets for this afternoon’s game are still available for all supporters to purchase up until kick-off via;

Supporters are reminded that today’s game is all pay, and that Marine season tickets and membership cards are not valid for this game.

Gates open at 2:15pm, with the Arriva Suite opening at the same time at for refreshments. The 1894 Bar & Bistro will be open from noon, and will be screening the lunchtime Everton v Liverpool game on TV.

We look forward to seeing you all at the MTA this afternoon!
