Left sided player latest to arrive at MTA…
Marine AFC are delighted to announce the signing of Michael Carberry.
Michael, 25, spent last season in the National North with Southport where he made 35 appearances.
He operates as a left sided full back or wing back and began his career at Doncaster Rovers U18s before moving to Burscough.
Bootle signed him in 2019 where he quickly became a fans’ favourite at Vesty Road, before moving on to the Sandgrounders on a permanent basis last summer after a spell on dual registration.
Manager Neil Young said:
“Michael stepped up two Leagues last season in to a very tough division and made 35 appearances.
His high energy will give us options on the left side, as a full back or wing back.
Michael’s desire to come to Marine was evident from the minute we made contact which was great to hear and I look forward to working with him.”
