Marine announce the appointment of Sean O’Hanlon as Manager of the club’s Under-23 team.
Sean, 39, was a centre-back during his playing days, making league appearances for Swindon Town, MK Dons, Hibernian, Carlisle United and Stockport County.
He becomes Manager of the Marine U23s side which last season won the West Cheshire League Division Two title and with it promotion to the First Division for the 2022/23 campaign.
Marine CEO James Leary commented;
“When Glynn Hurst informed us that he wanted to take a break from football we wanted to recruit someone with a similar background to be able to continue the development of the squad and the pathway at the club.
Sean has been the ultimate professional throughout his excellent playing career and this provides a great opportunity for him to build a career within management.”
Sean O’Hanlon said of his appointment;
“I’m looking forward to this new challenge. The club are progressing and I’m glad to be a part of it. I can’t wait to get started and help to develop the young players at the club, and hopefully push them to provide competition for places in the first team.”
