Marine announce the signings of Xenon Bahula, Hayden Campbell and Billy Smart ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Xenon, 19, is a winger who has featured throughout the Mariners’ pre-season campaign, and was previously with City of Liverpool.
Hayden, 20, is a midfielder who joins from Salford City, having previously spent a short loan spell at Marine during the curtailed 2020/21 season.
Billy, 27, needs no introduction to Marine supporters, having made 73 starts and 4 substitute appearances for the club between 2016 and 2018. He is currently recovering from a long-term injury.
We await international clearance for Jonny Spittle, and hope that this will be received ahead of Saturday’s opening game at Guiseley.
In further squad news, Andy Hollins has unfortunately suffered a TCL tear and will be out of action for 2-3 months. However there is excellent news regarding Anthony Miley, in that his leg has now fully healed from the break he suffered at Workington last August. Anthony has now resumed full training and is expected to return to match action in 2-3 months.
We also await the return to the UK on Sunday (Aug 14th) of a striker who is on European tour with his parent EFL club, who we have taken on loan until January 2023.
