Marine FC are delighted to announce that defender Scott Butler will rejoin for the 2024/25 season on the 1st of July on the expiry of his contract with Wrexham AFC.
Scott joined Marine on loan from Wrexham in January, and became an important part of Neil Young’s promotion-winning side.
The 21-year-old made 19 appearances since joining on loan from the Hollywood-owned side, and was released at the end of the 2023/24 season following their promotion to League One, so we are delighted to confirm he has now joined us for the coming season.
On signing for Marine, Scott said: “I’m happy to be back. After a great end to last season, coming back to Marine was already in my mind as I really enjoyed my football second half of the season.
“The fans should be full of optimism going into the new season that we can have a positive season.”
Manager Neil Young said: “Scott is an exciting signing for us and in his time with us so far he has been excellent.
“Scott has made it clear he has loved his time and development at Marine. He fully understands how important it is to be appreciated, valued and in an environment where he can continue to thrive to ultimately reach his goal of getting back to full-time league football.”
