Marine turn their attention to the other FA National competition tomorrow when they host Hyde United in the Buildbase FA Trophy First Round (3pm).
The homesters have already seen off Tadcaster Albion, Mossley and Stalybridge Celtic (the latter two ties at the Marine Travel Arena)in earlier rounds and will be bidding for a Tameside hat trick if they tame the Tigers.
The game will be their first in front of fans since the win over Stalybridge on Halloween, with the Mariners going through 3-2 courtesy of an Anthony Miley goal and a brace from Niall Cummins.
Hyde meanwhile have not played competitively since November 3, when they drew 1-1 with Lancaster City at Ewen Fields in the PitchingIn NPL Premier Division. They progressed to this stage of the Trophy by beating Frickley Athletic 2-1, again at home.
The reward for the winners will be a home tie against National North Southport on Tuesday with the winners of that then travelling to Spennymoor Town or Marske United next Saturday.
The tie will be played to a conclusion tomorrow with penalties in the event of a draw at 90 minutes.
Please note that Covid protocols are still in place and the club bars remain closed, the snack kiosk will however be open.
